I am a lifelong Tucsonan and a proud graduate of Desert View High School. I began my academic journey at Pima Community College before transferring to the University of Arizona, where I earned my B.A. in Communication and Economics and later completed my M.A. in Higher Education.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working closely with transfer students, and I am deeply committed to strengthening transfer pathways as an essential driver of access and opportunity in higher education. As a former transfer student and First Cats scholar, I understand firsthand the transformative potential of feeling supported, connected, and empowered in a new academic environment.

I believe that cultivating a strong sense of belonging is crucial for transfer student success. Getting involved, building new connections, exploring opportunities, and making full use of the tools and resources available can profoundly shape a student’s Wildcat experience. Helping students find their place, discover what excites them, and chart their own path is at the heart of the work I value most.

Outside of my professional role, I am a recent father of two and enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife and children. I am also an avid sneaker enthusiast and a fan of high-quality stationery, especially fountain pens and well-crafted pencils. My interests include technology, digital art, meditation, learning new skills, working with tools, and playing video games when time permits. I will also never turn down a good bowl of ramen or poke.
