Fall 2026 Transfer Student Guide Application

It is the mission of Transfer Student Support Services (TSSS) to cultivate an inclusive environment for students who have transferred to the University of Arizona, and guide transfer students as they gain academic and life skills through connections to resources and community.

We are looking to hire a motivated student who wants to join our team of Transfer Student Guides (TSG). This work includes supporting current and prospective transfer students visiting the Transfer Student Center (TSC) and participating in our TSSS programming. Transfer Student Guide Job Description

REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for a position at Transfer Student Support Services, you must have completed at least one semester of college coursework before fall  2026 (you are eligible if fall 2026 is your first semester at the U of A), but two semesters of completed coursework is preferred, AND you must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher from the University of Arizona or your transfer GPA if your University of Arizona GPA is not available yet.  You are also expected to maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher during your employment with Transfer Student Support Services. 

Students with federal work-study are encouraged to use it if available and hired, but if you do not have work-study or are not eligible to apply for federal financial aid, you are still eligible to earn a position.

TIME & PAY

$15.50/hr | between 10-20 hrs/week

All positions pay $15.50 per hour, and hours are based on availability and need, but a minimum of 10 hours is required.

Timeline

  • Application will close on Sunday, June. 7th at 11:59 PM.
  • Start date is August 10th for training.
